Barcarolle opus 60 in F sharp Major Chopin

How difficult it is to talk about Frederic Chopin after all what has been written about it ...!
But it is understandable, what life can offer more than yours?

Some biographies and movies have shown him as the paradigm of weak character, romantic, decadent, disheveled and dripping with sentimentality that really was not. The man who lived only 39 years, had a complex personality: sad, indecisive, visceral, shy yet spirited, spent the last years of his life in violent struggle against a typically romantic disease: tuberculosis.

Under its sleek, exquisite manners hid a stormy temper, virile, passionate, even in the most acute phases of illness, remained the unwavering force his musical thinking . It was both a solo musician needed the privacy of your piano to express themselves, and a demanding concert audience was looking for the finest salons of Europe to publicize his work ... he was always in great demand at these meetings of high society, and even if accessed more or less willingly to play, often lavishing tried not too.
By the way, every time you went to one of these acts, raged among the female audience.

had a brief but intense life. Polish by birth and French by adoption, he never forgot his homeland, especially during the Russian invasion of Poland in 1830, and this is always shown throughout his work, especially in their collections of nationalist-inspired pieces: the mazurkas and the polonaise, based on Polish peasant dances. One of his fondest memories was a silver goblet filled with Polish soil that always accompanied him ... This is a manuscript score of the four ballads, the second in F Major, his signature appears at the end the staff.

developed his career in Paris, where he excelled as a pianist and composer and associated with the cream of Parisian society: musicians, painters, aristocrats, writers ..., his life was busy in all aspects, had several romantic relationships that coincided with the toughest stages of the disease, but Finally, at the hour of his death, his sister Louise who accompanied him.

When Chopin knew that his hour came, he called at the time of his death he opened the chest, he removed the heart (always panicked at the thought of being buried alive) and this was carried Poland.
This was done, his heart buried in the church of Santa Cruz and the rest in the cemetery of Père Lachaise in Paris. His grave has since become a place of pilgrimage for all who love his music ... always full of flowers.

The entire works of Chopin is written for piano, either as a solo instrument with orchestral accompaniment or other instruments. The piano writing is deep and there is nothing in it which is not intended for this instrument. Renewed piano technique that was seen previously, dynamics, fingering, tone ...." invented "a new way of playing the piano, increasing the expressive possibilities of the instrument and finding new sounds that only they would see in Debussy, Faure and Scriabin (of which I have spoken on other musical entries, remember?).
This piano is one of those who belonged.

composed almost all genres, from concerts to sonatas, but where his talent was best reflected in the short forms, concentrating on a few minutes the whole world an impression.
His collections of Studies, Preludes, Waltzes, Nocturnes, Impromptus, Scherzo, Ballads, Polonaises, Mazurkas .... are among masterpieces for piano of all time.

This is the only picture that remains of him is taken in 1849, just months before his death. I personally do not like me much, except for the fact that it is a valuable document ... in his face clearly reflect the ravages of many years of illness and suffering. That look away and should not be yours.

Today I propose the inspired Barcarolle in F # Major. Belongs to the last period of composition of Chopin, and a real summary of expertise of its author, both by the new harmonic and noise of the part as his character as purely pianistic. Extreme difficulty of interpreting both their technique and expressive complexity, this is a piece of great stuff for all pianists.

I bring the version of the incredible, amazing, perfect, gorgeous, impeccable, extraordinary, unrepeatable Krystian Zimerman, one of the most complete pianist of the moment. This recording of the Barcarolle is the year 1989 and is considered as a reference in the interpretation of Chopin's work.

The video image Zimerman was 33 years, now has 54, but still as handsome as you see.

When you hear the music, it is worth to watch out for your hands: how to evolve from the keyboard without apparent effort and quite naturally, it seems that it touches not difficult. .. this is another of his qualities makes it difficult look easy!
(I recommend you go up, the volume of the recording is very short)

One more thing and end: several have told me you did not know that you can type comments (from an account g mail is really easy) , and you can read the opinion who read the blog and want to say something ... well if you click on the letrillas say "comments" at the very end of each entry, you can read what people have written, often very interesting, and sometimes very funny too.
I think sometimes it's much more interesting to read what you think about all it's own post ...!
